This is the first ever time I'm hearing that a country "so called first world country" charges non-citizens for just views of its citizens. If you didn't understand that then let me break it down for you. For example if you have a YouTube channel and you've monetized your videos with adsense, now if visitors from USA watch your videos and you earn money from it you will have to pay 24% of your total revenue if you don't provide your tax info. First I thought they may charge for US earning only, but later I found out that they will charge 24% of your total earnings which is ridiculous and totally f**ked up.
This sh*t I'm hearing for the first time. I think the su**ers at the top (regulators) comparing this to companies which sell stuffs from outside the country (import tax). But I don't really get it. How come those son of a b*****s are so greedy for? People already pay 45% to Google (which is a USA company) is that not enough for them? They use their citizens as an excuse to charge other people yet they don't give a sh*t about their citizens (there are so many homeless people in USA plus so many people are suffering). If they start doing this then what about other countries? Imagine when other countries find out about this and they start doing the same thing (because most countries are slave of that sh*t whole country called USA) what will happen then? Will YouTube sort out the portion for each country?
Privacy issue: They want to get tax info from millions of people who don't even live in USA and not citizens of it. Forget tax info, TikTok had to sell part of it to USA company only because they were gathering user behaviors data (which Google, Facebook, windows do all the time) that's all, yet they (government) thought they (TikTok) are having control over whole country and getting too much info from them. It's all f***ing nonsense. If USA does something then it's fine, but if someone else does it then that's becomes a very big issue. Such a nonsense and double standard mentality.
I simple hate when people use me to earn money but they don't come to help me when I need. That's what exactly happening here.
F***ing government using citizens as excuse to suck money from other people yet they don't give a sh*t to them (its citizens) in real life. Wake up people, wake up!

Why is this happening?
Google has a responsibility under Chapter 3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code to collect tax info from all monetizing creators outside of the U.S. and deduct taxes in certain instances when they earn income from viewers in the U.S. |

How will my earnings be impacted?
If you provide your tax info, U.S. taxes may only be applied to your monthly U.S. earnings from AdSense (revenue earned from viewers in the U.S. through ad views, YouTube Premium, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Channel Memberships). If no tax info is provided, your tax rate may default to the higher individual backup withholding rate (24% of total earnings worldwide).
